Our students enjoyed attending the Women in Trades Expo held mid June at the Southern Trust Events Centre. They were able to try out new and exciting things as well as learning about the many different industries that have potential training pathways for women.

I feel that both my fellow girls and I, that attended the Women in Trade Expo found great benefit from it. It was extremely informative, and really gave us a grasp of how it is for women in the workplace from a variety of trades and businesses. There were plenty of experienced people happy to answer questions, who were very passionate about helping young women find their career path. I thought this was an excellent experience and helped show curious young women like myself more career paths, and empower them to pursue a job in the trades.
