International Students visit to Table Top Station
Recently our International students went on a trip to visit Table Top Station in the Hakataramea Valley.
Table Top Station is a 2,500 hectare farm run by Jo and Lachie McKenzie, and has been in the McKenzie family for 125 years. Their main farm business is merino sheep, we were lucky to be treated to a tour of their shearing sheds and a shearing demonstration. We then rowsied a flock of sheep from one paddock to another. It was an awesome experience for everyone and a big thanks to our hosts.
We then went on to Oamaru, stopping at the Takiroa Maori Rock drawings, before heading to Ten pin bowling. We also visited Rainbow Confectionery and the Oamaru seal and penguin area.
