Hi everyone, welcome to my third report for the 2022 year. Many thanks to everyone for their patience as we negotiate these very different times. Please rest assured we are doing our very best to give all our students as many opportunities to get out and do the sports they love as much as possible. Here is a little break down of where we are with our winter and summer sports now...

Thursday 2nd June, 2022

The annual Aoraki Secondary Schools' Cross Country took place at Ashbury Park on Tuesday 24th May.

Students Aleisha Smith and Cat MacClure have been busy in their Environmental Sustainability Class with a new initiative to help reduce period poverty in schools.

Across 3 different days all five of the Year 9 Social Studies classes had the opportunity to visit the Ōpihi Taniwha Māori Rock Art sites in Totara Valley.

On May 12, the Year 11 Geography classes travelled to Christchurch as part of their study of earthquakes in Canterbury

Recently our students raised over $386 for Pink Shirt Day

Mountainview High School Jazz Band were out delivering Mother’s Day flowers from Bloomers as a fundraiser for their next tour.

Here are some recent photos from Whare Ako featuring our students doing Yoga, NZ Sign Language and some exercises with their new resistance bands. The students have been very excited to learn and practice these new things this week!

Back at the beginning of April Miss Charteris was selected to play for the International XI - one of twelve former New Zealand players who came together to take on some of the best schoolgirl cricketers in the country.

Cassie is a NZ Cadet Force member and recently she was presented a New Zealand Cadet Forces Commandant Commendation by the Commandant NZ Cadet Forces, WGCDR Mark Henderson, regarding her actions on the evening of 21st November 2021.
