Last Wednesday Rachel from 'House of Bricks' came to Team Take Off for a fabulous Lego Maths Session

We had the opportunity to make towers, measure our models, compare and sort our designs and create some wonderful new creations. We then used the Lego base boards to make numbers and represent the number we had chosen using Lego pieces. Lastly, we thought about patterns and created our own. All of our pattern ideas were different! Some of us used colour repeating patterns, some used shape patterns and others used different heights to create their patterns.

A HUGE thank you to all of the lovely parent and grandparent helpers who came along to make this such a fun session. It was wonderful to hear all of the maths language and concepts being used and applied throughout our session.
