Your child doesn't make it to class for the morning roll call at 9am ... what happens next?

First, we check the answerphone & our inboxes to see if you have let us know where they are. 

Next, we call the classroom to make sure your child didn't just arrive late & miss the roll (& forget to sign in at the office). 

 Once we have checked all classes THEN we call you to ask about their absence.

HOWEVER, when we have a long list of absences this can take a lot of time... for instance, one morning last week there were so many children to hunt down the roll was not complete until nearly 10:30... meaning if your child didn't make it to school (when you thought they had) we lost 90 minutes that could have been spent finding your child.

Luckily, this is not something that we have had to deal with.

However, this is why we need your help.  Please remember to email, call & leave a message, or send an absence message via our school app to advise us if your child is not attending school.  We need to know your child's name, room number and reason for absence.  Accurate attendance is a Ministry requirement, so if we cannot make contact with a parent regarding their absent child, the child is marked as TRUANT for that day.

If you know in advance that your child will not be attending due to illness, an appointment, holiday, family event or skiing, you can let us know and we will load that into our system.
