What is Exhibition (PYPx)?
PYP exhibition is a chance for year 7 - 8 students to put all the inquiry skills they’ve gathered over their primary school years to use. Students will usually work in groups of 4 for PYP Exhibition, and choose a line of inquiry based on the given focus together. This term we’re focusing on ‘People discover and express culture, feelings, beliefs and character in many ways’. Different groups are looking at this in different ways. Some examples are :
How we express ourselves
How people develop and express their character.
The ways people express themselves has changed in a digital time
Creativity looks different in different contexts. (E.G. Arts/ Architecture etc.)
Exhibition is challenging and rewarding. We work hard to meet our deadline and have to be self directed and very motivated. We get to share our learning at the end. This year it is Thursday 3rd & Fri 4th November. Why don’t you come and check it out!
. . .
The PYP Exhibition represents a significant event in your life as a PYP student, combining the essential elements of the PYP and sharing them with the whole school community.
As a culminating experience, this is an opportunity for you to exhibit the attributes of the IB learner profile that you have been developing throughout your career as a PYP student.
You will engage in a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real life issues or problems.

Our Central Idea:
People discover and express culture, feelings, beliefs and character in many ways.

Why engage in PYPx?
The PYP exhibition has a number of key purposes:
To provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate independence and responsibility for your own learning.
To provide you with an opportunity to explore multiple perspectives, applying your learning of previous years and to reflect upon your journey through the PYP.
To demonstrate how you can take action as a result of your learning.
To unite the students, teachers, support staff, parents and other members of the school community in a collaborative experience that incorporates the essential elements of the PYP.
To mark your transition from primary to secondary school.
To celebrate YOU, your learning, and your time at Mt Pleasant School.
