This week saw the postponed SE Zone Yr 5/ 6 Rippa Rugby Tournament held at St Leonard’s Park, Sumner. 

It was a reasonably cool morning, although thankfully there wasn’t a frost. This meant playing in bare feet was not as horrifying experience as was initially expected. However, our hardy MPS side were well and truly up for the challenge. After having a couple of practice sessions at school the team were fairly buoyant and excited leading into the big day. The team played with plenty of confidence and the overall skill level and accuracy of all involved was admirable. Results were very pleasing throughout pool play and we were unfortunately beaten narrowly in an epic final by Linwood Ave.

The Mt Pleasant side consisted of: Neve B, Juliet F, Sophie C, Will K, Liam H, Jack O, Tessa D, Daniel W, Fynn H, Adam M and Holly S (absent)
