Committed to improving opportunities… Mt Pleasant School is fortunate to have always had a strong, committed and skilled group of people willing to oversee and govern the direction and goals of the school.

The Principal is responsible for the day to day running of the school.

The Board is responsible for the governance of our school setting the strategic direction in consultation with staff, parents and students and meeting legal and statutory requirements.

The Board provides governance and stewardship on the management of personnel, property, finance and administration. This specifically includes the responsibility for implementing the Charter, setting and reviewing goals, implementing policies and assessing performance in relation to these.

The Principal (as Chief Executive of the school) is charged with the responsibility of achieving these objectives through effective day to day management of the school’s staff and resources. As a Board, we liaise closely with the Principal.

Meetings

Our Board usually meets on the last Thursday of each month, meetings commence at 6.30pm and are held in the school staff room. All meetings are public meetings and minutes are available on request.
