On Saturday 19 August, four Mt Pleasant School teams traveled to North Canterbury to race the Canterbury Adventure Race.

Driving through Rangiora to get to the event centre in the early morning the thermometer hit 0 degrees and there was a significant amount of frost on the ground, but by the time the 3 hour event got going at 11am the day had got a bit warmer. Luckily the rain held off for most of the day, with the showers only starting towards the very end.

The course for 3 hour teams had them navigating through one hilly mountain bike stage, one trek/rogaine stage and two mystery activities, which required them to find clues and work out themed words and quotes with the clues they found.

Well done to all Mt Pleasant teams and students. An impressive showing of team work, endurance, stamina and determination from all to make their way around the course with some great results:
