Last Thursday Room 1 transformed into a spaceship and 24 astronauts took an imaginary flight to Mars to collect evidence to bring back to Earth. 

Our drama-based inquiry had children practicing being in role and communicating with one another. Mrs. Tutt was the commander of the ship and ensured that everyone returned safely to earth.

On Friday morning the class "hot seated" the astronauts and interviewed them about their experiences. It was a lot of fun and all children have shown an increase in confidence when acting/ pretending / role-playing.  Check out the photos of their interviews!
