BeeBots = Fun Maths!
Room 4 have been having a lot of fun with the BeeBot robots lately as part of their Maths learning on mapping, orientation and position.
They have been learning how to program the robot using a sequence of simple commands. It is a process of trial and error and the students soon learn how to fix up their mistakes by “debugging” their program.
They had to program the BeeBots to move around a grid in order to find treasure, “pick up” armour, spell the letters in their names and find the shortest route. It involves a lot of discussion and problem solving!
