Singing Lessons @ MPS
Catherine has taught singing and acting privately and through local studios for a number of years, and is very excited to join the Mt Pleasant team.
She is a TOSCA Accredited Singing teacher, as well as having studied acting in New York at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. In a past life she has also obtained a BA in English/Psychology and an MSc in Psychology from the University of Canterbury.
When not teaching, Catherine lives a double-life as a performer, with a special love for musical theatre and Shakespeare. Her favourite shows and roles have included playing Elphaba in Wicked (New Plymouth Operatic Society), Jesus Christ Superstar (The Court Theatre), As You Like It (Third Bear), We Will Rock You and Les Misérables (Showbiz Christchurch).
Catherine likes to bring fun to lessons, focussing on building a strong foundation of vocal technique and musical theory, and polishing it all with performance skills.
