Late last term we had a team of six elite swimmers compete in the CPS Swimming Champs on Thursday 06 April at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre. 

They competed against the very best swimmers from across the wider Canterbury area, which was the ultimate chance to test their abilities.

The team consisted of: Kara G (9yrs Girls Backstroke), Kiera H (11yrs Girls Freestyle), Mila H (11yrs Girls Breaststroke), James M (9yrs Boys Backstroke), Liam H (9yrs Boys Backstroke) and Jordan A (11yrs Boys Backstroke and Butterfly).

Unlike the other competitions, there were no heats and finals. Instead, the swimmers were timed and these formed the final results. There were a couple of stand-out performances from our team with Jordan A finishing 6th in his 11yrs Butterfly, Mila H – 18th in her butterfly event and Kiera H – 21st in her freestyle.
