Having won our SE Zone Rippa Rugby Qualifying Tournament, the MPS Yr 5/ 6 side competed in the Canterbury Championship on Monday of this week.

The conditions on the day were quite hideous with the majority of our games being played in torrential rain. The side played an impressive brand of running footy complimented with wonderful handling skills and footwork. We went on to win all our round-robin games to top our pool. 

Unfortunately, we went down in the semi-final to Lincoln Primary School, who were to eventually come second to a well-drilled Waitakari School side in the final.
