Ephemeral City Architects!
Mt Pleasant Schools were able to participate in a free fun workshop to prepare for the Ephemeral City Event that was part of the Christchurch City Arts' Festival.
A French artist, Oliver Grossete, has created an 'Ephemeral City' as part of the Arts' Festival. Students were able to attend a workshop where they helped to construct some of the complex elements of cardboard architecture that were used to create a sky-high cathedral at the Arts Centre over the following weekend. The demolition on Sunday was slightly stymied by the hail storm but children still had a ball flattening soggy cartons.
A big thanks to all the parents that transported the children and supervised them at this awesome event. Check out the photos of the students at work during the three-hour workshop.
