My philosophy on brass education is catered for each individual, we may all have similar goals, but there are generally different roads to achieve them. I am here to guide your child the most enjoyable and efficient way possible.

Brass lessons are available to all students of all ages and levels here at Mt Pleasant School. I currently teach students from four years old to seventy+ years old, age is NO barrier.

Graduating with a Masters Degree in Performance trumpet at the Royal Academy of Music in London, I am also qualified with a LRAM (Licentiate to the Royal Academy of Music in Brass Specific Teaching) to aid in guiding students through grade examinations, including Trinity College, ABRSM and NCEA qualifications.

As well as teaching at Mt Pleasant School, I have my own private studio The Tooting Tribe in the Christchurch CBD, I also teach Trumpet at University of Canterbury, and various schools around the Canterbury region. I have been an artist teacher at the New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University, Wellington. I perform live with The Black Seeds and regularly with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
