As we approach the end of the school year, we wanted to celebrate the last days with a special 12 Days of Christmas Countdown—showcasing just some of the things we’re grateful for! We are incredibly fortunate to have our school nestled in such a supportive community, and we want to take this opportunity to celebrate the generosity of so many of you who help make our school a great place for our students.
Day 1 – Mr. Griffiths
A Big Shoutout to Mr. Griffiths! 🏅
We’re so lucky to have Mr. Griffiths leading the charge in sports at our school. From organising Aupaki Touch Rugby to Zones Sports tournaments, Athletics, Swimming Sports, and so much more, his dedication and passion for sport inspire our students every day.
Thank you, Mr. Griffiths, for going above and beyond to make sports such a vibrant and exciting part of our school community! 🙌
Our school turf has been an absolute game-changer this year, especially for our Year 5/6 teams who had an incredible season at Zones, with the Year 5/6 Hockey team going on to winning the Christchurch Schools Tournament! Thanks to our generous supporters, our students can now play outside year-round, rain or shine.

Our Gaga Pit has been a huge hit with students of all ages! Huge thanks to Maurice for building this awesome space (even in the rain!) and to the PTA for their support.

Two years ago the PTA supported school with the addition of 30 iPads, enhancing our students' learning experiences and getting year 4’s device ready. These are consistently being used around the wider junior school with some great learning.
Thank you to Lia and the amazing PTA parent helpers who made our 8 sausage sizzles this year such a success, raising over $4,000! And to the parents for finding those elusive gold coins! Your support means everything.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Mt Pleasant Art Exhibition, raising $22,000 for our new playground project! Your ongoing support, from parents to local businesses, made this success possible.
Thanks to your fundraising efforts, the PTA was able to purchase TWO new Jump Jam compilations, with 12 exciting dances each! This investment has brought even more fun to our sessions and supported the Jump Jam competition participants.

We’re thrilled to share that our Tech Group is now even better equipped for success, thanks to the generosity of Kiwi Gaming Trust! Their support has provided us with another EPro8 Construction Kit and our first-ever Electronics Kit.
These tools are helping our students explore, innovate, and thrive in technology and engineering. Thank you for investing in their bright futures! 🙌 Thanks also to Christina Freeman for securing the grant for these.
🌟 A Huge Thank You to Christina Freeman! 🌟 Christina’s dedication to our school is unmatched, Christina puts in a huge amount of energy and hours to organising the Adventure Racing Squad, securing grant funding for our new ride-on lawn mower, a little project in the past of ‘THE SHCHOOL TURF!”, EPro8 equipment. Not to mention all her community involvement in coaching hockey, BMX and developing outstanding pump tracks along the way. Thank you, Christina, for your tireless work and support in making a real difference and we have no idea how you do it while also being an awesome mum of three, go you!
A big thank you to all the volunteers who help make our School Discos so special. Thanks to your efforts, we’ve raised nearly $3,000 for our school. You help create lasting memories for our students, and we couldn’t do it without you!

As we wrap up another wonderful year, we want to wish everyone a safe, restful, and fun holiday break. We look forward to doing it all again next year with our incredible school community! If your New Year’s resolution is to get involved, we’d love to have you join our amazing PTA!
