Guy Fawkes Poems

Room 4 —

Skies exploding with colour on Guy Fawkes night inspired some colourful, descriptive poetry in Room 4 this week...check some of them out below!

Huge banging and booms
All the colours you can think of
Little sparks on your head
Sounds like boom
Flying in the air
Very, very, very, very hard to sleep
They’re only in the sky at night
When it is dark it wants to make you wiggle and jump out of bed right away.

Speeding bullets then burst and lights the night
Little bits falling from the sky seeding itself in the ground,
Rockets flying in every direction, feelling like it will hit you
Seagulls falling from the sky, it roars the night sky, shooting stars going over the crowd
Colours all over the city, moths going closer and closer
Kids playing with sparkles with burnt fingers
Dreams flying in the darkest night

Banging, pops splashing loudly in the blue sea
Spinning round and round
Crackling, bang, bang
Different colours spread across the sky
Twenty stars swirling round and round
Colourful lights twinkly into the darkness

Boom, bang, crash
Bash, pow, kaboom
Like a flying colourful missile making a show
Like colourful rain rumbling out from a dark, dark cave
