Taking Care of Business

from The Caretaker —

Bark Rejuvenation

We have a delivery of bark arriving at school on Monday (12 June).  This will be spread, & the existing bark aerated by some awesome students participating in the William Pike Challenge.  Any more parents able to assist with this would be greatly appreciated...work kicking off from 3:15pm.

Swimming Pool Painting

We are going to water blast and paint the pool in Springtime, thank you for the offers of help we have received so far.  Any further help would be awesome - caretaker@mtpleasant.school.nz

Electrician Required!

We need a registered electrician to come install 2 lights...if you know someone let us know!  We'll even pay them!

Gardening Help

  • We are hoping to set up a garden club at lunchtime once a week.  If anyone is able to help with this we would love to hear from you.
  • Our goal is to create a native block on the southern boundary of the school (behind the office, running west to Basecamp).  Contributions of time, ideas, etc welcomed!
  • With the native area we would also like to start a vermin trapping programme, any trapping-enthusiasts out there let me know as we would like to include the students in this process.

Thank you to Russell who has made a start with trimming of trees & hedges, we have more sunny spots for children to play!  Any more volunteers - we'd love to hear from you!
