End of Year Celebration

Ground Control —

Tuesday 13 December - Friends and whanau are invited to join the students and staff of MPS to celebrate the year that's been and farewell our Year 8s. Singing, dancing and a BYO picnic make for an afternoon of entertainment and frivolity. We are already rehearsing and practicing, so it is an event not to be missed!

The day's programme works like this...

  • Late start for all students (except Year 8s, who arrive at 9am to put the finishing touches on their item)
  • 11am - All students at school - straight to their classes
  • 12pm - 12:30 - Lunch for all students
  • 2:30pm - Friends and whanau start to arrive. BYO picnic dinner, drinks, blankets, cushions, camp chairs, etc. Make yourselves at home in our home!
  • We usually finish up around 5pm. You are invited to stick around and enjoy each others' company.
  • Please consider that this is an important event for all students and staff when deciding to bring your toddler/preschooler - it is a long time to expect them to sit still. We also ask that you leave your dogs at home.
  • The wet-weather postponement day is Wednesday 14th December. Please contact your class teacher if you have any further questions.

For the safety of all children - all children need to return to their classrooms at the end of the celebration and will be dismissed from there as per a normal school day.  Please ensure your child is aware of pick-up arrangements.

We would love to hear from you if you are interested in taking any photos throughout the event - we would love to share our evening with those who can't join us!
