A team of four Year 7&8 students from Mt Pleasant School competed in the NZ Secondary School Orienteering Champs during the holidays. The competition involved 400 students from schools from as far away as Auckland and Dunedin.

The students competed in the Sprint Course which was located at Avonside Girls High School, and the Long Course held out at Leithfield Beach, North Canterbury. All of our students did really well and for some, it was their first ever orienteering event! Special congratulations to Felix who came third in the Individual Sprint Competition. He was bumped off second place by a Tasman student who came in 10 seconds faster.
