Tabloid Sports

Sophie & Chloe, MPS Media Team —

Last week on Friday 21st February we had the Tabloids event. Tabloids is a big event that our school runs once every year. Simon (our amazing caretaker) marks out a wheel that is sectioned into 10 areas for each event to be held. The wheel is marked out near the middle of the field. The whole school participates in the event.

At tabloids there are 11 events, which include:Tunnel Kids, Tug of War, Gumboot Throw, Standing Long Jump, Shuttle Run, Dribble Ball, Roll a Ball, Hoopla, Ball Chase, Sack Race, and last but not least - the great Wheel Race. At the end of tabloids we asked some of the kids what their favourite event was - the most popular was the Tug of War, the Wheel Race, and the Sack Race.

"The wheel race is best!"
"We can't wait for the tug of war!!!"
"This is so fun!"
"Best day ever!"

Now you’re probably wondering why we do Tabloids...well that is because it helps us build our sense of community, sportsmanship, teamwork and connectedness .

A special thanks to Miss Scotland, the House Captains and the T@TT students for all of your help and organisation.
