On Thursday 24th of August two hockey teams and two football teams set out to represent Mt Pleasant School at the Canterbury finals for the Winter Sports Tournament. 

They were accompanied by four teachers and an awesome group of dedicated parents who not just coached and helped supervise on the day but had also assisted with training in the weeks leading up to the event. 

It was an amazing day not least because of glorious sunshine; it almost got too hot around lunch time! All students across the four teams showed the Mt Pleasant Magic. 

They were principled, balanced, risk takers, enthusiastic and showed off their incredible hockey- and football skills. To top off a perfect day the Year 7/8 football team brought back the trophy so Mt Pleasant School has a team of Canterbury champions for the second year in a row! We are super proud.

• Year 7/ 8 A hockey – 5th =
  
• Year 7/ 8 B hockey – 7th
  
• Year 5/ 6 A hockey – 7th
  
• Year 5/ 6 A football – 7th
