Today, Mr Max Calvert was Principal for the Day. Here is a report from Max sharing the events of the day:

Kia ora,

I would like to share my day with you all. It started with me walking to work from the bottom of Cannon Hill Crescent. I then welcomed all the staff, students and parents as they arrived at work. It was Walk & Wheel Day so I also helped give out stickers to those who had made an effort to come to school by walking or riding.

I went around the classes to complete a uniform inspection. I found that most of the students were in the correct uniform. However, lots of students don't wear the correct socks and some (4 or 5) are wearing pants that are not the correct colour.

I helped run the Walk & Wheel Assembly. About 170 students came to school by wheels or by walking. This was a good result. We noticed the road was extra quiet. The teachers said the students were more settled in class. Thanks to all the students (and families) who made an effort.

Finally, I went out for a long lunch with a friend Harry. This was finished off by a good two-scoop ice-cream.

I enjoyed the day.
