After 15 years involvement with Mt Pleasant School, we farewell Tracey Hull, librarian extraordinaire. 

On Friday 3 November, our school and community whānau are invited to a showcase of Year 8 learning.

Term 3 has been a very busy and rewarding time for the Aupaki Kāhui Ako. Our staff and students have been involved in a large number of activities this term including; the Aupaki Cultural Festival, Rock Band Concert and Speech Night.

I was so super impressed with all of our runners in the Mt Pleasant orienteering team last weekend. What a fantastic attitude and effort shown by all...

A huge congratulations to both Mila H (Yr 7) and Tim C (Yr 7) for successfully being selected to represent Canterbury in hockey. The two of them play for the Carlton/ Redcliffs Club.

The final Baking Club challenge was the Party Challenge! Students had to bake an item suitable for a party and bring it along to our Baking Club party! The standard was extremely high and we presented a number of extra prizes. Congratulations to: Isaac T, Amelia M, Grace M, Cara B, Olivia L, Hannah W, Zoe P.

There were savouries galore at Thursday’s Baking Club meeting! We had spring rolls, pretzels, pies, tarts, scones, bread, pizza, calzone, cheese sticks …! No one needed much lunch after the meeting was finished! Congratulations to our winners – Isaac T, Nina H, Amelia M, Anwen W.

We need more helpers to get the Swimming Pool up & running for summer - more painters over the holidays would be amazing! Your help is essential to getting this facility running in time for the summer swimming season.  .... We also need some chainsaw operators to help with pruning & removal of dead trees around School grounds. Please contact Euan if you can help: 021 049 4444

Hi Families, Kath is away from NZ from Tues 26 Sept - Mon pm 9 October. Please contact Justine on 021 022 72933 for those days. If you are using the Winz subsidy it is now too late for me to sign the forms. Please can you phone WINZ on 0800 559 009 BEFORE your child starts on the programme and tell them the date they are starting. We will then have to fire the paperwork in as soon as I return. The Community Dental Service will operate an emergency service over the school holidays. This service is to provide relief of pain only and will not undertake ‘routine’ treatment. The service will be available each working day from 8:45am until 12:30pm from the Hillmorton Community Clinic, Sylvan Street, Christchurch for the following times:
