The Mt. Pleasant Heat basketball side took on the top-of-the-table Chisnallwood Wolverines in their first game of the term on Tuesday evening.

 The last time the two teams came together the result was very much a lop-sided affair in favour of the Wolverines. This time round the result was far from lop-sided, instead the two teams were involved in an absolute nail-biter, which went right down to the final whistle.

The two teams traded hoops throughout the game with the score line never exceeding a couple of points between one another. In the end the win went in favour of the Wolverines 16 – 15. The MPS Heat had a number of opportunities to snatch a last-minute win, however, the ball just didn’t want to work any favours.

It was a hugely impressive turn around and showcased exactly how much the Heat had improved. Keep the heads up lads and all the very best for next Tuesday’s game.
