After some early speculation over the weather, we had five teams represent both Mt. Pleasant School and the wider SE Zone at last week’s CPS Winter Tournament. 

This was held at various Hagley Park locations. We had the Year 7/ 8 and the Year 5/ 6 Hockey A teams, the Year 7/ 8 and the Year 5/ 6 Netball A teams as well as the Year 7/ 8 Football A team all take part in the competition as they attempted to become the top side across the whole of the wider Canterbury region in their respective codes.

At the end of a gruelling day of fierce competition all of the five teams did well and would have appreciated the tougher next level of competition. However, it was the result of the Year 7/ 8 Hockey A team that really impressed. They achieved a magnificent result and won the overall title to claim the honour as Senior Hockey champions. This was a marvellous feat, one we at MPS are all very proud of!
