This year saw a most welcome technology upgrade. The library now has 30 new chromebooks for students to use.
This great addition allows each student to have a computer during their class visits. Chromebooks mean students can work by themselves in a quiet space or work in groups.
E-books were an added resource this year with over 1,000 titles both fiction and non-fiction available to students. Students just need to download the Wheeler’s app, use their school login and read to their heart’s content. E-books are loaned for 2 weeks; they automatically return themselves meaning no overdues!
Graphic novels are a favourite of our students; the library ran a “Tokyo Ghoul”, with a library theme, poster competition. The winner was J Asfari; S Parkman and N Meadow’s entry great as well.
Once again thank you to our wonderful student librarians, we would be snowed under without you all.
Remember reading levels drop over the summer break so keep reading – download one of our e-books or head down to your community library.
