2022 Start-of-Year information AMENDED

The change of the Covid Framework setting to Red means that we have had to alter our school opening times to ensure we do not have large groups of people inside the hall. We will be opening with staggered start times on both Tuesday 1 February and Wednesday 2 February. Please keep reading and take note of our updated information.

NEW ENROLMENTS

Students who wish to attend Nayland College and who have not yet enrolled should contact the college office (03 547 9769) to arrange an interview. These will be held for all year levels 10:00am - 6:00pm on Tuesday 25 January and 9:00am - 3:00pm Wednesday 26 January.

SENIOR STUDENT COURSE CHANGES (YEARS 11, 12 & 13)

All senior students will receive a letter detailing their subject selections for 2022. Year 11/12 students with clashes or other compelling reasons for change can book an appointment with their House Leader. Year 13 students should make an appointment to see the Careers Advisors. Times available 10:00am – 6:00pm on Tuesday 25 January or 9:00am – 3:00pm Wednesday 26 January at www.schoolinterviews.co.nz Code: q5tbc Interviews will be held in the library.

UNIFORM STORE AT NAYLAND

NZ Uniforms operate a uniform store on site at Nayland College. 

EXTENDED SHOP HOURS FROM 10 JANUARY 2022 UNTIL SCHOOL OPENS:

  • Monday-Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Saturday: 10:00am – 2:00pm

REGULAR SHOP HOURS:

  • Monday/Wednesday: 8:00am - 9:30am
  • Tuesday/Thursday: 2:30pm - 4:30pm
  • Saturday: 10:00am - 1:00pm

Note: Last day of trade for 2021 will be Saturday 18 December.

  • 8:50 am Year 9 Aquila & Cygnus welcome (released to tutor time)
  • 9:15 am Year 9 Pegasus & Phoenix welcome (released to tutor time)
  • 9:40 am Year 9 Draco/new Year 10-13 welcome
    • (Year 9 Draco released to tutor time, new Year 10-13 to Room 4)
  • 9:15 am – 10:30 am Tutor class activities
  • 10:30 am – 11:15 am House assemblies and other tutor class activities on rotation
  • 11:15 am – 11:45 am Interval
  • 11:45 am – 12:00 pm Rotations continued
  • 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm Lunch/new Year 10-13 new students dismissed
  • 1:45 pm – 2:45 pm Peer support activity
  • 2:45 pm Year 9 students dismissed


Wednesday 2 February

Staggered start times due to Covid RED setting. All students direct to tutor class. If unsure, please go to hall for directions.

Year 11, 12 & 13 students with incomplete timetables or clashes must see their house leader before going home.
