Amazing You!—A Well-Being Weekend for Teens (14—18 Years)

The Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre —

Life is full of possibilities, full of changes, full of hopes, fears and dreams. It can be wonderful and confusing as we surf the changes and ride the waves of “who I am”, “who I was” and “who I am becoming”. Sometimes it feels OK “In my Skin”, and sometimes, not so much.

This is a course for teens where all of “who you are” is welcome. It is a mindful journey of discovery, to find out more about your inner-self and your social-self within an accepting group atmosphere. It is a course which gives us space to be curious about our experience and emotions; as we make friends with ourselves and others.

Using fun, face-to-face communication games, mindfulness, guided meditation journeys, movement, group sharing and creative activities, we can make new discoveries about ourselves and each other. As we listen and share with others, our connections and confidence grows and opens into new dimensions; our trust in Wairua-our spiritual being-can emerge and find expression.

This weekend is a special opportunity to experience greater emotional resilience, a new sense of self-worth and well-being. We can learn tools and strategies to go confidently back to our lives and relationships in the wider world.

Our journey is happening at the Wangapeka Study and Retreat Centre. Experience the peaceful and beautiful environment of Wangapeka and let nature and a supportive, non-judgemental group, help you to discover the amazing, changing fullness of Amazing You!
