Nayland College Donation Station

Mia Harnetty, Jade Roach & Kaixa Duguiang —

Students from the Nayland College Year 10 leadership module are running a donation station to support Helping Families Nelson.

Helping Families Nelson is a charity that was started four years ago to support foster parents. The charity has since expanded to support all families in need. Kristy Rowe, CEO and founder of Helping Families Nelson is exceedingly grateful for any donation of quality clothing, bedding or food.

"Every donation makes a difference no matter how small" Kristy Rowe, CEO Helping Families Nelson

She also said "The people that need help could be sitting right next to you" and that is why our class is organising a donation station, to gather clothing and food to support the community around us.

Next week from 20-23 June you can bring quality used clothing and/or items of non-perishable food (e.g. canned foods, rice, pasta...etc.) to the Nayland College Hall. Tables will be set up in the hall with house colours. Please place your items on the appropriate table and for every item donated a house point will be allocated. So, let's get in behind this local charity supporting families in our region. Every item counts!

Helping Families Nelson accepts donations from the public at any time. Please contact Kristy if you wish to donate further items.
