Year 13 students see 2020 off in style

Duncan McKinlay —

After a difficult, and at times, exhausting year, the class of 2020 closed this chapter of their lives with a graduation dinner last Wednesday.

The night was organised and put together by a student committee who came up with a forest theme and have been working all term to prepare for the night. They worked with the technology department to make signs, an archway and cardholders.

Hospitality teacher Michaela Nicholas and her team of staff and students were also instrumental in helping the night run smoothly in regards to catering.

Hospitality student and graduate Renz Alvez made a stunning cake that was shared by Yr 13 students. There was also a memory movie played to celebrate their years at Nayland.

Louis Picot, manager of Pics Peanut butter was a fantastic guest speaker who had a strong message to the graduates about finding their purpose.

We wish our Year 13 graduates the best of luck as the embark on the next chapter of their lives!
