Use your voice to shout out #BestBossEver

Ministry of Social Development —

The Youth Employment Success programme is all about creating positive employment- based opportunities for youth aged 16-24.To kick start the rollout of the programme, we’ve designed a campaign to give young people their voice, by telling us who should be identified as youth-friendly employers. The campaign is all based around #BestBossEver.

The Youth Employment Success programme is all about creating positive employment- based opportunities for youth aged 16-24, helping them gain confidence through exposure to the business world and encouraging positive connections between young people and local employers.

This could be a coffee date with an employer, a business walkthrough, a CV review or an internship – there’s a range of options.

Born in Dunedin five years ago, Youth Employment Success is now expanding into Nelson and Marlborough as a Ministry of Social Development Initiative.

The programme promotes youth-friendly employers online and is supported by a strong social media presence.

To kick start the rollout of the programme, we’ve designed a campaign to give young people their voice, by telling us who should be identified as youth-friendly employers.

The campaign is all based around #BestBossEver. The message is being shared across social media, radio and traditional print and asks youth to nominate their employers if they consider them to be their #bestbossever. This will help identify the founding employers on the platform for both Nelson/Tasman and Marlborough.

If you know an awesome employer, nominate them here: www.youthemployer.nz/bestboss or check it out the messaging on Facebook.
