New New Zealanders get free glasses
Recently our new New Zealanders in ESOL went out to Specsavers in Richmond.
Specsavers organised extra staff to cope with so many students at once. Specsavers allowed all the students to have a half price eye examination and after some forms were fill in, every one who was under the age of 16 received free glasses if they had their community services card.
The students are very proud of their new glasses, especially as they were each given two free pairs. This allows for the students to have a pair at home and a pair at school.
We are very thankful to Specsavers Richmond and Enable who made this happen for our students. We’re already looking forward to next year.
