Rodger Fox is New Zealand’s foremost Jazz Trombonist, Big Band Leader, Jazz Educator, Arranger, Producer and Lecturer at The New Zealand School of Music

On Monday our Nayland College Jazz Band students had the privilege of participating in a two hour workshop with him at school and then performing alongside him at the Rodger Fox Jazz Concert at The Playhouse Mapua. Harry Stocker, Sam White, Tobias Anderson, Fynn Sawyer, Jake McNaughton, Jack Rollinson, Isaac Stewart, Freya Cashin & Zara Palmer along with conductor Simon Williams performed three songs to the audience while the packed out theatre listened in admiration and appreciation. 

The Jazz Band rehearses weekly on Wednesday mornings before school and are already working on new pieces for their next performance opportunity.
