The 26th of September saw the annual Top of the South Readers Cup competition held at Nayland College.

This is competitive reading at its best, with the Hall abuzz with students dressed for the occasion from Colleges all around the region and all vying for the Cup to take home to their school and various prizes, kindly donated by local businesses.

The students have been preparing for this for two terms, reading 6 selected books intently and their recall of the story and details was then tested. The Nayland College team pictured placed second – beaten by only half a point by a team from Marlborough College for Girls. Pictured are Lovinia Pluck, Molly Clarke, Aria Page and Caitlin McKnight.
