Thursday 23 September (after 3.30pm) to Thursday 8 October

The Nelson City Council plan to remove the existing Thetford Bridge for a full refurbishment of the bridge beams and new timber decking and handrails. We have planned the majority of this work to be undertaken during the October school holidays and expect the bridge to be re-opened by Friday 9 October, ready for term four.

Detailed below is the pedestrian detour route that will be sign posted and monitored for the duration of these works. We thank you in advance for your patience with this detour.
