Teams Heading to Winter Sports Tournament Week

Nayland has 4 teams traveling to compete in South Island and National tournaments next week. The will be teams traveling to Dunedin, Christchurch and Blenheim.

The Senior A Boys Basketball team have a long journey down to Dunedin at the start of next week where they will compete in the AA premiership. The team will be competing against 16 teams from all over the South Island to gain a national qualification spot. 

The Nayland 1st XI boys football are heading to Christchurch where they are competing in the National Jim Wishart Football tournament. The team have been training very hard to gain good results at this tournament. 

The senior A Netball team is also traveling to  Christchurch to compete in the South Island Secondary School Tournament. After playing in the local final on saturday the 2nd of September the team will be very prepared to handle what the tournament may throw at them. 

The Football Girls 1st XI are traveling to Blenheim to compete in the National Gary Sowden Football Tournament. The team has combined with Garin college and has made for a very exciting and talented team. Although the team has limitations being a invitational team they are looking to do well at this tournament. This is the first a girls team has gone to tournament in 4 years.

We wish all of the players, coaches and management luck on their tournaments, Nayland is behind the 100% percent of the way. We look forward to hearing the results.
