Nayland College School of Music

Kay Mackenzie —

Music students have been out in the community presenting a showcase of the colourful array of instruments of the orchestra available to learn through the Nayland College School of Music (NCSM). This programme delivers a fantastic opportunity for younger siblings (Years 4-8) to begin their musical journey. NCSM offers students affordable and accessible tuition to develop a new skill that will lead on to opportunities for performing in instrumental ensembles such as concert band, jazz band and orchestra. Students have presented performances of the James Bond Theme Tune and The Hall of the Mountain King alongside each instrument having its own spotlight to show-off tone and skill. If you know of a budding youngster, now is the perfect time to start learning a Woodwind, Brass or String instrument. To find out more detailed information, head to https://nayland.school.nz/ncsm/.
