Junior technology projects

Over the past two terms junior technology students have been busy working on their projects and they've produced some fantastic results. 

The photo above shows Year 10 student Jasmine Kerdemelidis's stool inspired from two disused wheelchair hubs.

  • Where: She chose a design for indoor use
  • Why: Inspired from two disused wheel chair hubs
  • How: The students in this class planned, designed and constructed a range of different Technology outcomes based around the theme of 'where stuff goes.' Some students used recycled parts as inspiration.

The Year 9 Technology Wood students used a laser cutter to create lighting designs.

  • Who: Year 9 Technology Wood

  • From left: Micah Atkinson, Fabian Atkinson, Theo Harvey, Reed Brotherton
  • What: Design and make an illumination outcome to meet an identified need.
  • Why: To learn and apply technological design process.
  • How: Students learnt how to plan, design and construct their own lighting designs based on an identified need or opportunity. The laser cutter was used for all cutting.
