On Wednesday 19 September over seventy students from Broadgreen Intermediate, Nelson Intermediate and Nelson Christian Academy trial for the 2019 Institute of Sport class.

The standard of the Institute of Sport applicants was very high as students ran, sprinted, jumped, threw, and played Invasion Games to demonstrate their fitness and skills.

For the second year in a row we had the support of Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology students who ran the vertical jump and sprint tests utilising the latest in sports science testing.

We have an exciting year ahead with both a Year 9 and 10 Institute of Sport class running in 2019.
