The Nelson City Council have advised that the completion of the major roadworks along a 150m stretch of Nayland Road near the Galway Street area (map below), have been delayed until Mid-November.

It advisable to leave more time for travel along Nayland Road to school  during this time and / or take alternative routes as they will be times when the road is down to one lane.

Nelson City Council have advised the reason for the roadworks is that they are upgrading the storm water system.  So although inconvenient, will be beneficial for Stoke residences.
