Ben Kirby recently traveled to the National Rubik Cube competition  in Christchurch. 

Ben had a very successful weekend, coming third, solving the Pyraminx with a 5.7 second average and coming fourth in the Rubik Cube with a 12.82 second average. 

In the finals his best solve was 9.32 seconds, an awesome result for his first completion.  Watch a short video of this solve above.  Ben puts hours of practice and effort into getting faster and has has to memorise many complex algorithms in order to achieve at this very high level.
