Re-Draft Writing Competition

Clerestory Press —

An exciting opportunity for young New Zealand writers. Could this be your opportunity to become a published author?

Re-Draft, the annual creative writing competition for adolescents, is now accepting submissions for 2023. The deadline for submissions is August 25th.

Teenagers from across Aotearoa are invited to submit their creative writing, and can enter using either the online entry form, or the form found in the back of the current edition of Re-Draft. Entries can be of any genre and will be judged by award-winning New Zealand writers.

Elaine, a previous winner of Re-Draft has said:

"Truly wordless to describe how it feels to see how I've improved since I was a Y9 submitting to a competition I saw on a library poster, and to hold this year's Re-Draft publication in my hands and see my name in the contents".

This is the 23rd year of the publication, earning it a strong place amongst NZ Young Adult literature and within schools.

Visit https://clerestorypress.co.nz/re-draft for more information, or to submit your entry.

The organisers of the Re-Draft creative writing competition are also calling for financial support to ensure that it can continue.
