Whanake Youth —

Inviting all young people to come along and hear from the Ministry of Youth Development about the Youth Plan and what it means for you! Monday 6 November, 3:30pm - 4:30pm at Whanake Youth HQ, 548 Main Road Stoke. Pizzas and cold drinks provided.

The Ministry of Youth Development are coming to town to chat with Rangatahi, community agencies, health and education sector and local government to see what we can all continue to do well or to reflect on how we can do better in supporting the mana and voice of Rangatahi in our spaces!

The focus of the korero is based in the recently released the Youth Plan: Voice, Leadership, Action (https://www.myd.govt.nz/young-people/youth-plan/youth-plan.html)

The aims of the Youth Plan: Voice, Leadership, Action (Youth Plan) are:

  1. The voices and perspectives of young people are listened to, valued, and embedded in decision-making at all levels.
  2. The mana of young people is uplifted, and young people are enabled to lead their own lives, have their identities seen, valued and respected.
  3. And young people have increasing influence in their communities and over government policy.
