Last night a group of Nayland students attended a speed networking event at the Cawthron Institute.

It was arranged by Women in Science as a celebration of International Women’s Day. The students had the opportunity to hear 8 female scientists talk about their science work, their passion for science and how they got to where they are today.

The talks were inspirational and students had plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Both male and female students attended (pictured above).

The go home message was to use science to follow your passions and dreams.
