Celestielle Travel Scholarship 2025
Four Nayland College students have been selected for the Celestielle Charitable Trust trip to Singapore and Cambodia in 2025
Four of our Nayland College students—Ben, Ollie, Shayla, and Phoebe—have been selected as the successful applicants for the prestigious 2025 Celestielle Charitable Trusts trip to Singapore and Cambodia. This incredible opportunity will see them embark on a journey of cultural discovery, volunteerism, and education in two inspiring countries.
As part of the trip, these students will continue the fundrasing and volunteer work of previous groups with the REACH programme. This programme provides life long education and support for the students and families in the Siem Reap community surrounding the school.
They will also visit numerous historic and cultural sites, including the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor Wat, local markets, and a floating fishing village. One of the highlights will be a visit to an elephant sanctuary, where they will learn about elephant conservation efforts in Southeast Asia.
They will also have a somber visit to the Killing Fields and S21 Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh—places that offer a haunting reminder of Cambodia’s history.
On their way home, the group will spend two days in Singapore, where they will explore the vibrant city and visit the stunning Gardens by the Bay, famous for its futuristic design and impressive plant life.
There is a palpable sense of excitement and trepidation among the students and their families as they prepare for this life-changing experience. The knowledge and memories they will gain from the trip will no doubt shape them for years to come.
A huge "Thank You" to the Celestielle team for their ongoing support of Nayland College students and for making this opportunity possible. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to empowering young people and providing them with these once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
We look forward to hearing about the students' adventures and the positive impact they will continue to make through their volunteer work and cultural immersion. Best of luck, Ben, Ollie, Shayla, and Phoebe!
