Let's Talk. Period.

Whanake Youth —

A two hour workshop for youth about the menstrual cycle. Come along for free kai at 3.45pm, fun games, free giveaways, health info, a supportive space to ask questions and a belly dancing class at the end!

Kia ora koutou,

We’d like to invite young people to a pilot workshop Whanake Youth, Sport Tasman and Lucy Carver, Education Facilitator are collaboratively delivering called “Let’s Talk. Period.”

It has been designed to increase menstrual cycle awareness and to empower young people to better understand, take care and keep their bodies active throughout their lives. The workshop takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, blending storytelling, interactive health education, fun myth busting skits, games and belly dancing at the end (this has been proven to help reduce period pain!)

The workshop will take place on Monday 24th July 3.45pm - 6pm at Whanake Youth HQ (548 Main Road Stoke, Stoke, Nelson 7011). This workshop is aimed at 13-18year olds. Free kai will be available at 3:45pm and the workshop will commence at 4pm.
