Deputy Principal's Message

Trevor Olley - Deputy Principal —

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

With the Derived Grade Exams behind us it has been business as usual for the remainder of the term.

Our Senior students now have the external exams firmly in their sights and it is sobering to think that our prizegiving round starts in the first week of next term.

Earlier this week we completed the PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) review process which allowed us to reflect on our SOAR values.  The review which included both students and staff clearly showed that our values of Success, Opportunity, Ako and Respect are not only firmly established in the college, they are a living part of what we do and who we are.

The value for next term is Opportunity and although for the senior students this will mostly focus around them giving themselves the best chance to succeed in their external exams, for the junior students there is plenty of school life left and plenty of opportunities to get involved in.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish both staff and students a well deserved break and a safe and relaxing holiday.

Nga mihi.

Trevor Olley
