Nelson Youth in Emergency Services (YES)

This is an opportunity to experience what it is like to be a volunteer in the Emergency Services. You will do taster sessions with 7 different services in Phase 1, then get the chance to volunteer with your chosen service for 2 months in Phase 2. Nelson Young Leaders

A free 45 credit NZQA Level 3 Qualification in Youth Work open to 16 - 24 year olds. You will learn about youth development principles, leadership and group work, project management and more. There is a group training week from the 22 - 26 January at NMIT and then you are supported to complete a practical project component over the following 6 months.
